A symmetrical, bell-shaped distribution in which most values cluster around the centre and fewer occur towards either extreme. The mean, median and mode are equal at the centre.
Revise: Normal DistributionsA normal distribution is a symmetrical, bell-shaped pattern. Most scores cluster near the centre, while very low and very high scores are less common. Not every psychological dataset follows this pattern, so researchers need to examine the distribution rather than assume it is normal.
