Revise: Human vs. Animal CommunicationCommunication means sending and receiving information through signals. A signal can be a sound or movement: it does not have to involve words. To understand animal communication, distinguish its function, or purpose, from the form of the signal itself.
When asked to outline a function of animal communication, explain what the signal achieves rather than merely naming the function. If a question provides a scenario, link your explanation to it.
