Revise: Controlling Variables and SamplingThe meaning of sample size depends on what is being studied. For repeated timings, say how many readings you will take at each setting. If you are testing whether different springs behave similarly, say how many separate springs you will include; measuring one spring many times does not represent variation between springs.
