A reversible deformation: the object returns to its original shape and dimensions when the forces causing the deformation are removed.
Revise: Elastic and plastic deformationIn elastic deformation, the object changes shape or length while the stretching force acts, but returns to its original dimensions when that force is removed. The deformation is therefore temporary or reversible.
