Socio-economic group

A socio-economic group describes social and economic position, often using occupation and employment circumstances. In the survey’s occupational classification, the percentage active was 73% in NS-SEC groups 1–2, 63% in groups 3–5, and 54% in groups 6–8. The lower socio-economic groups were less likely to be active.
