Revise: Quadratic SequencesQuadratic sequences do not have a constant first difference. Instead, their second differences are constant.
Lay out first and second differences carefully; most errors come from subtracting in the wrong order or misaligning the rows.
A constant first difference indicates an arithmetic sequence. For a quadratic sequence, the first differences change but the second differences are constant.
The coefficient of is half the constant second difference, including when the second difference is negative.
