Zoroastrianism

Persian religion is commonly discussed in connection with Zoroastrianism, the tradition associated with Zarathustra. Its central theme was the struggle between good and evil and the responsibility of humans to choose rightly. This helps explain the importance of truth and falsehood in Darius’ presentation of his enemies.
