Sudetenland

The Sudetenland was a border region of Czechoslovakia containing roughly three million German-speakers. Hitler claimed that these people were mistreated and should be brought into Germany. He encouraged the Sudeten Nazi movement to create unrest and threatened war in the name of protecting them.

Hitler next demanded the Sudetenland, a border region of Czechoslovakia containing around three million German-speaking people. He claimed that he was protecting them from persecution. However, the region also contained important industry, arms factories and defences.
