Revise: Impact of War and TechnologyRadiation therapy is another important modern treatment. It uses radiation to treat cancer and is distinct from an operation that physically removes tissue. X-ray equipment was already being used for cancer treatment by 1901.
Do not confuse diagnostic X-rays with radiation therapy: one produces images; the other treats disease.
