Martin Luther King Jr. planned to bring poor people from different racial and ethnic backgrounds to Washington, D.C. Their shared demands concerned better housing, education, food, employment, wages and healthcare.
Assess the Poor People’s Campaign through both its limitations and its achievements: Resurrection City was cleared, but the campaign helped secure food initiatives and brought different communities together.
