Revise: Nazi Methods of ControlThe Nazis condemned works that challenged their values as ‘degenerate’. They attacked modern art and jazz, while favouring German folk music and the classical music of composers such as Bach, Beethoven and Wagner. Approved art promoted heroic imagery and Nazi social ideals, including images of women as mothers and housewives.
