Augustan

Horace and Virgil belonged to the Augustan era and celebrated Octavian's victory. Velleius wrote a historical account that strongly favoured Octavian, while Suetonius and Cassius Dio wrote much later. None of these set authors except Cicero had met Cleopatra.
