Revise: Bivariate Data and Evaluating Statistical PresentationA trend line summarises the general direction of the points. First look across the whole scatter graph: is there a clear rising or falling pattern, or does the pattern curve? Sketch through the centre of that pattern rather than tracing a route between individual points.
