Studentification

Studentification is another form of neighbourhood change, associated with concentrations of students and rental housing, often subdivided into smaller units. Students create demand for accommodation, shops and services, changing the local economy and housing market. Liverpool's inner-city experience illustrates how studentification and gentrification can accompany urban growth, while also creating challenges for existing communities.
