Revise: Human landscape elementsRural areas occupy much more land but have fewer people spread across it. The contrast is not absolute: rural residents may work in nearby cities, and rural settlements can contain businesses serving customers far beyond the countryside.
Make direct comparisons: urban cores generally have higher population density and a younger age structure than remote rural areas.
