Raw data

After fieldwork, a collection of tally sheets, measurements, photographs and questionnaire answers is still raw data. Processing checks and organises this evidence; presentation makes it accessible through tables, graphs, maps and diagrams. Both should help answer the enquiry question rather than simply make the work look attractive.
