Revise: Economic Activity and Management in Glaciated LandscapesGlaciated uplands are landscapes shaped by past glaciers, not necessarily places where glaciers still exist. Their mountains, steep slopes, broad valleys and lakes influence how people earn a living. Cold, wet conditions and thin, relatively infertile soils make some activities difficult, while dramatic scenery and valuable rocks create opportunities.
