Climate sensitivity

Models differ in how much warming they calculate for a given increase in greenhouse gases. This warming response is called climate sensitivity. For sea level, some processes are better understood than others: thermal expansion is relatively well understood, but the future rate of ice loss from Greenland and Antarctica is much more uncertain.
