Revise: Act 2Act 2 moves the action from Venice to Cyprus, where Othello has been sent to command the Venetian garrison against the Ottoman Turks. A garrison is a force stationed to defend a place. This military setting matters throughout the act: even during celebrations, officers remain responsible for the island's safety.
