Waterproofing

Waterproofing prevents liquid water penetrating the fabric under its intended conditions of use. Silicones are used in water-protection treatments, but their form matters. A sprayed silicone finish gives surface water repellency, encouraging water to bead and run off rather than wet the fibres.
