Revise: Textile Fibres, Yarns and Material PropertiesA textured yarn has deliberately introduced crimps, coils or loops. Thermoplastic filament yarns, such as polyester or nylon, can be shaped and heat-set in this way. Instead of remaining straight and smooth, the yarn becomes bulkier, with a softer handle and greater stretch.
