Revise: Quantity Production TechniquesA stencil is a sheet with cut-out openings through which colour is applied to the surface beneath. The solid areas mask the paper or board, while the openings determine the shape of the printed graphic. Unlike a template used to draw an outline, a stencil allows colour to be applied directly within the required shape.
