Paper 1
Revise: Use of production aidsA pattern is a full-size outline used to reproduce a component. For papers and boards, a packaging pattern can show the complete net, including cut lines, score lines, fold directions, glue tabs and printed areas. The terms template and pattern overlap, but a pattern often communicates more of the information needed to make the component, rather than just its outside shape.
- Revise: Marking out methods
A guide defining the shape of an individual component, commonly a fabric piece, which may also show construction markings.
