Rolled finish

A rolled finish encloses the edge in a tiny roll secured with stitches. For rolled-and-whipped seam allowances, sew a narrow join, trim if needed, then roll the allowances together and wrap hand stitches around them. Work in short sections so the roll does not unravel before it is secured.
