Revise: Fabrication and Assembly MethodsA French seam traps raw edges inside its construction. This gives a neat interior on lightweight or sheer garments such as blouses and nightwear, where exposed allowances could be conspicuous.
A French seam starts with wrong sides together, then encloses the trimmed edges with a second seam sewn right sides together.
