Revise: Fabricating and ConstructingPop rivets are also called blind rivets because they can be set with access from only one side. They are particularly useful when the back of the joint is inaccessible, such as when attaching a panel to a closed sheet-metal enclosure. Pop riveting is quick and avoids heat distortion, but requires a suitable rivet and gun, leaves visible heads and needs holes in the parts.
