Revise: Packaging LaminatesA packaging laminate is made by bonding layers of different materials together. Each material contributes a useful property, so the finished packaging performs better than any one of its layers would alone. A familiar example is a Tetra Pak™ carton containing paperboard, polyethylene and aluminium foil.
- Revise: Reinforcement and Stiffening
A bonded, multilayer packaging material whose constituent materials provide different properties, such as stiffness, moisture resistance and barriers to light or oxygen.
