Revise: Traditional Timber JointsA dowel joint strengthens the connection using round wooden pins fitted into matching holes in both pieces. The dowels help locate the components and provide additional glued contact inside the holes. Dowel joints are used in frameworks and furniture, including flat-pack furniture.
