Composite

A composite is made by combining two or more different materials to create an enhanced material. The aim is to obtain a useful combination of properties that the individual materials would not provide alone. ‘Enhanced’ does not mean better in every way: a composite may offer excellent strength at low weight but cost more or be harder to recycle.
