Revise: Non-Woven TextilesA bonded web begins as a layer of fibres. Heat, solvents or adhesives join the fibres at their contact points, turning the loose web into a coherent sheet. Unlike wool felting, this method does not depend on wool fibres tangling through their scaly surfaces.
Distinguish felted wool, whose fibres become tangled together, from a bonded web, whose fibres are joined using heat, solvents or adhesives.
Qualify your comparisons: some bonded webs become weaker when wet, but this is not true of every non-woven textile.
