Annotation

Annotations turn a drawing into an explanation of design thinking. A label such as “large switch” identifies a feature; “larger switch makes operation easier for users with reduced dexterity” justifies it. Useful notes can explain materials, components, dimensions, construction, finishes, user needs and proposed improvements.
