Paper 2
Revise: Run Length Encoding (RLE)Run-length encoding (RLE) does this by describing repeated values rather than storing each repetition separately. It can be used for characters in text or pixel colours in a bitmap image. For example, a long sequence of black pixels can be represented by its length and the value for black.
- Revise: Implementing RLE Pairs
A consecutive sequence of identical data values, such as neighbouring pixels of the same colour in a bitmap row.
