Revise: Need for Primary StorageThe computer therefore needs primary storage, also called memory, to hold information where the CPU can access it quickly. It provides a working area for the computer, rather than simply somewhere to keep files for later.
Memory that the CPU can access directly to obtain data and instructions.
When explaining why primary storage is needed, link fast access to data and instructions with the CPU being able to process them quickly.
Do not say that primary storage consists only of RAM: it usually includes RAM and ROM.
