Revise: Effects of Atmospheric PollutantsSulfur dioxide and oxides of nitrogen react with water, oxygen and other substances in the atmosphere to form acids. These include sulfuric acid and nitric acid. The acids mix with water in clouds and can fall in rain, making it more acidic than normal rain.
