Revise: Waste Water TreatmentThe effluent follows a different route: aerobic biological treatment. Aerobic means with oxygen, and biological means that living organisms carry out the treatment.
Keep the two treatment branches separate: sludge undergoes anaerobic digestion; effluent undergoes aerobic biological treatment.
