Paper 3
Revise: Everyday lifeFresco fragments from Pylos show a tunic-clad hunter aiming a short spear at an antlered deer, while hunters on fragments from Tiryns carry two short spears. Taken together, these objects provide a broader account than any one image. The best evidence depends on the question: the ring is useful for chariot archery, the dagger for lion hunting and decorated metalwork, and frescoes for dogs, spear hunting and hunters’ clothing.
