Individual identity

Individual identity is the combination of characteristics, experiences, beliefs and relationships that makes a person who they are. Group, national and global identities connect that person to others. These levels overlap: being part of a worldwide faith community, for example, can shape both someone's personal beliefs and their sense of belonging beyond their country.
