Revise: Sub-Cellular StructuresSome bacteria also contain plasmid DNA. Plasmids are small circular pieces of DNA separate from the main chromosomal loop. They carry additional genes and can sometimes move between bacterial cells, spreading characteristics encoded by those genes.
