Revise: Common infectionsAn infection occurs when a pathogen enters a host and reproduces. The pathogen may damage cells, take nutrients from the host or disrupt normal processes, producing disease and its symptoms. Humans and plants can both be hosts.

Revise: Types of DiseaseOne useful way to classify diseases is to ask two questions: Is the disease caused by infection? Can it pass from one organism to another? This separates communicable diseases from non-communicable diseases.
Do not write that HIV and AIDS are the same thing: HIV is the virus, whereas AIDS is a late stage of HIV infection.
