Revise: ContraceptionHormonal contraception changes the normal hormonal control of reproduction. Some oral contraceptives contain hormones that inhibit the production of FSH. Because FSH normally stimulates an egg to mature, inhibiting FSH means that an egg does not mature and so ovulation is prevented.
