Respiration that transfers energy from glucose without using oxygen.

Revise: Aerobic and Anaerobic RespirationCells can also transfer energy from glucose without oxygen. This is anaerobic respiration. Glucose is only incompletely oxidised, so much less energy is transferred from each glucose molecule than during aerobic respiration.

Do not say that anaerobic respiration produces no energy. It transfers less energy from each glucose molecule because glucose is incompletely oxidised.
Remember that both aerobic and anaerobic respiration release energy, but anaerobic respiration transfers less energy from each glucose molecule.
Do not write that anaerobic respiration in animals produces carbon dioxide; its product is lactic acid.

Cells can also transfer energy from glucose without oxygen. This is anaerobic respiration. It involves the incomplete breakdown of glucose, so it transfers less energy from each glucose molecule than aerobic respiration.
