Revise: Marxist Theory of Social StratificationThis is a socio-economic classification because it groups people according to their relationship to work and wealth. The central distinction is ownership, rather than simply whether someone is well paid or poorly paid. A worker receiving a higher wage still depends on selling their labour, whereas a business owner can receive income from ownership and the work of employees.
- Revise: Weberian Theory of Stratification
