Indirect discrimination

Indirect discrimination can occur through a rule that applies to everyone. For example, removing morning and afternoon breaks while lengthening lunch may disadvantage Muslim employees who previously used those breaks for prayer. An apparently uniform rule can therefore create unequal conditions at work.
