Revise: Ethnic Minority Family FormsA family form is the structure and composition of a family. Ethnic minority families are not a separate family type: they include nuclear, extended, lone-parent and cohabiting families. Differences associated with cultural backgrounds are part of cultural diversity, but there is also considerable diversity within each ethnic group.
Support comparisons with a named group and a specific family form. Include the date and location when using census evidence.
Do not treat ethnicity as a proven cause of a family form. Describing a statistical pattern and explaining its causes are different tasks.
