Paper 1
Revise: Representations of the DivineThe Trimurti consists of Brahma the creator, Vishnu the preserver and Shiva the destroyer. Together, these roles express creation, preservation and destruction. Worship is not distributed equally among them: a devotee may concentrate especially on Vishnu or Shiva, while Smarta traditions recognise several divine forms as approaches to the supreme reality.
