Paper 3
Revise: Worship PracticesThe tallith is a prayer shawl, traditionally worn by men during morning worship, including Shabbat services. Its corner fringes, called tzitzit, remind the wearer of the commandments. Numbers 15 instructs Jews to look at the fringes and remember and observe God’s commands.
Tefillin are used for weekday morning prayer, not on Shabbat. The tallith’s fringes remind Jews of the commandments; it does not have 613 separate fringes.
