Revise: Sculpture and StatuesA sculpture is a three-dimensional work of art; a statue is a sculpture representing a person or figure. In Catholic Christianity, these can make beliefs visible and provide a focus for prayer. A statue of Jesus, for example, can remind someone of his love and encourage them to respond to that love through their own actions.
