Revise: IconsIts teaching follows the regulative principle of worship: worship should include only what God has authorised in Scripture. It interprets the commandment ‘Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image’ and ‘thou shalt not bow down thyself to them’ (Exodus 20:4–6) as forbidding worship of God through images. Its Westminster Larger Catechism also rejects representations of any person of the Trinity, including Christ.
