Revise: The Cosmological Argument in IslamThe first two statements are premises: starting claims on which the conclusion depends. If both are true, the conclusion follows. However, someone can challenge the argument by questioning either premise.

A statement on which an argument is based. Whether its conclusion is convincing depends on whether its premises are true and its reasoning is sound.

The first two statements are the argument’s premises. If they are true, the conclusion follows. However, this conclusion establishes a cause of the universe; further reasoning is needed to identify that cause as Allah.
