Paper 3
Passover: the Jewish festival remembering God’s deliverance of the Israelites from slavery in Egypt.
Avoid claiming that all Jews observe festivals identically or that Pesach prohibits all grain: matzah is unleavened bread.
Use Exodus 12:14 to explain why Pesach is observed: remembering the Exodus is a continuing religious commandment, not simply a family custom.
Do not describe Pesach as a ban on all grain: matzah is permitted unleavened bread. The restriction concerns chametz.
